HOW TO Download Your Digital Gallery From Pixieset
I use Pixieset to send images to my clients. There are two huge pros to using a digital gallery. You don’t have to wait for a CD or USB in the mail, and you’re able to share huge files with family members and friends instantly — it’s a win win for both of us.
If you’re having trouble figuring out how to download your photos, read on. Pixieset is perfectly formatted to view on a mobile device, BUT when it comes time to download your images, please do so from a computer. This is important. I can’t help you with mobile issues.
When your final images are ready, an email will pop up in your in-box and when you open it, it will look something like this (below).
If you scroll down a little bit on that main email, you will see a button that says, “View Photos” and below that will be your 4-digit download PIN and when your gallery expires (below).
If you open the gallery you will see all of your images in a tile gallery (below). At the very top of this tile gallery, you will see a tiny little arrow pointing down at a rectangle in the top right corner. That is your download button.
Pressing the download button will bring up this screen where you enter your email and your 4-digit pin.
Punching in your email and PIN will bring up a screen where you have to make some decisions, but don’t panic! You are almost there! Pixieset wants to know if you want to download your images in web-sized, high-resolution, or original. Web-sized is ideal for sharing photos on social media like Facebook and Instagram but definitely not suitable for printing, Original files are HUGE, so you can use those for printing large canvases. For all other printing though, my advice is to download the “High Res” files. They won’t look too compressed and terrible if you post to Facebook, and they are perfectly suitable for printing. The best of both worlds!
After you choose your download size and click “start download”, your link to the zip file should pop up. Click the link and your computer should ask if you want to open it.
Now, the zip file should show up in your downloads folder on your computer.
I have my computer set up to automatically un-zip files so the folder is already open. If your computer is not set up that way, you just need to un-zip your folder. It is slightly different between Mac and PC. Here are some helpful links if you don’t know how to un-zip a zip file:

Now your photos have been downloaded to your computer! I recommend backing them up on Google Drive, etc.
